Slot Search in the Top Bar

Type a slot or studio, open it in the Engine Verifier or Slot Cruncher. Instant after two letters, cached locally, keyboard-friendly. Mobile gets a Slots tab.

There's a slot search in the top bar now. On desktop it sits next to the command search. Type a slot name or a studio, pick a result, and choose where to open it: the Engine Verifier or Slot Cruncher. On mobile it's a Slots tab inside the search popup.

A few notes on how it behaves, because we tuned it harder than it looks.

It's instant. Results appear after two characters, and after the first query the whole matching set is cached in your browser so narrowing the search ("gates" → "gates of oly") doesn't touch the network at all. First results typically land in under 40 milliseconds server-side; the rest is the round trip.

It's not case-sensitive, and it matches on studio too. "hacksaw" lists Hacksaw's games. "val" gets you Valkyrie and everything they've published.

It prefetches. While you're reading the results, the verifier's code is already being loaded in the background, so when you pick one the page is there rather than loading. If you hover a result for a moment, that game's data starts loading too.

Keyboard works. Arrow keys, Enter to open in the verifier, and a shortcut shown inline for the Cruncher. Escape closes it.

Why two destinations and not one? Because they answer different questions. The verifier is "check this spin / find the max win". Slot Cruncher is "how does this game pay". People arriving from a chat link usually know which one they want and shouldn't have to click through a hub to get there.

Known quirk: a couple of games appear twice because the catalog has duplicate entries for them under slightly different names. We're deduping. Everything else should be clean.

That's item five of nine for October. Slot demos are next and that one's bigger.
